No. More. Excuses. - Mother and baby fitness classes in North London

In our continuing attempt to get fit, we've come across a number of mother and baby exercise classes where you can get fit whilst spending time with your baby - and in some instances even integrate them into your workout. With so many different classes there's sure to be something near you. No more excuses.....

We love Latino Bambino- keep fit while learning to salsa with your baby! Your baby comes along for the ride snuggled in a baby sling. Great fun and a good work out to- remember your water.. Local classes include Islington and Swiss Cottage (Huggle). This was our favourite way to get back in shape after baby number one. There are also toddler classes too.

Fit Bumps and Babies offers fitness classes specifically designed for pre and post natal women. Classes take place at the Armoury, Hampstead, LA Fitness Golders Green and Virgin Active Cricklewood.

Monkrith School, Southgate, hosts a legs, bums and tums class for mummies and under 5's. Contact schildrenscent@lgflmail.org for details.

If you are keen to do some Zumba, head to Mummy Zumba in East Finchley - a Zumba class for new mums at Holy Trinity Church. Contact getbacktoclass@gmail.com for details.

Virgin Active Crouch End offers a pre and post natal fitness class as 11.30 on a Monday and Friday- lots of fun and relaxed environment for babies to hang out in too!

For something a bit more relaxing try out the Mummy and Me yoga classses at Yoga Balance, with classes in Edgware (Fridays) and Willesden (Wednesdayss)

There is  also Mother and Baby Yoga in Crouch End at Lifelong Yoga. Email julie.tortora@tiscali.co.uk or class details.

Triyoga, the celeb yoga hangout in Primrose Hill, also has Mummy and Me yoga classes on at 11am on a Tuesday.

There is Yummy Mummy Bodies at The Venue in Borehamwood at 10 am on a Monday morning. The class is a mixture of Cardiovascular exercise and resistance training. All the exercises are targeted to help you regain your pre baby body with a fun element as babies are used in some of the exercises too. Email yummymummybodies@hotmail.co.uk for more  info. We had this (unsolicited) recommendation from someone who uses the class: "I've been going to classes and personal training since my baby was born in May and I'm fitter than I was before my baby!  She doesnt know I've contacted you but I just think what she is doing is great!"

Do you know of any other good classes or ways to get in shape post baby. We'll be trying out personal training soon but let us know any other ideas you've got too.

Unfortunately, having twins rules most of these out for me :(
