Weekend Round Up - See Films, Make Art, Have Fun..

Another January weekend is here and although things are fairly quiet, there's still some interesting things on. We round up the best...

Mr Squash, Lauderdale House

Saturday

Lauderdale House has a puppet and magic show. Mr Squash - King Scruffytop and Princess Kissykissy think they have seen a unicorn but others are hunting it too. Goodies, baddies, monsters, jokes, chases and plenty of joining in! This is showing at 10am and 11.30am and is suitable for 2-6s. 

Somerset House has a drop in workshop at 11-1pm or 2-4pm called Ice Palaces - be  inspired by the beautiful skating rink to make a glittering miniature 3-D wintry scene complete with tiny skaters. Suitable for all ages.

The Tricycle Theatre, Kilburn is showing The Snow Queen -
Two best friends, a Wise Woman and a reindeer called Grumble weave magical moments of maskwork and puppetry, in this beautiful and inspiring tale. Suitable for ages 4-7.

The Phoenix Cinema, East Finchley has a kids club at 12pm and is showing Ratatouille. If you book in advance through the box office, there are also activities at 11am. Activities are aimed at children 5-10.

Barbican Children's Film Club us showing Anastasia at 11am. 

The October Gallery, WC1 has a free family art session for under 5s and siblings.


Everyone's Climbing Tree in Wood Green has an art club for 4-11s every Saturday. Email to join - £8

The British Museum has a family event called Teddy Time Traveller - Bring along your own bear or soft animal and transport yourselves to another culture and time 11.30 and 15.30. Free. 

Sunday

Museum of London has a family event - Using digital technology in the e-Learning Studio, design a pattern for a cushion or T-shirt based on some of the colourful clothes on display in our Galleries of Modern London. 5+ Tickets on application
