4th and 5th August- what's on for the kids this weekend!

Olympic fever- you just can't escape it- there's loads of Olympic flavoured activities going on, and you can also catch some of the street events.

If you are swept up by Olympic fever but regretting not having any tickets, head to one of the road events taking place this weekend. This weekend catch the women's triathlon. You only need tickets for the start and end points. Alternatively, head to one of the live sites. Suitable for all ages.

If you fancy heading a bit further afield, explore the Exhibition Road Festival which takes place this weekend. The festival showcases London's cultural heartland, and features live music, artists from the Royal College of Music, and performances from a specially formed acrobatic troupe. Suitable for all ages.

This month is (confusingly!) Kids Week, an action-packed month of theatrical fun from 1-31 August.
During Kids Week, a child aged 16 or under can experience the magic of London theatre and see a fantastic selection of shows for free, plus two additional children can go at half price (per transaction), as long as they are accompanied by a full paying adult. Booking details here.

For something very different, Sacrilege, the inflatable Stonehenge created by Turner prize winning artist Jeremy Deller, is hitting London this week appearing at Southwark on Saturday and Hillingdon on Sunday. Suitable for all ages.
