The highlight of this weekend is The Mayor's Thames Festival in which Boris gets another chance to show Londoners a good time. We've really been spoiled with events this summer and as part of this festival there are loads of events happening all over the weekend including fireworks display, arts events and much more. Last chance this weekend to see the classic The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, in Kensington Gardens at the purpose built 360 theatre.
It's also your last chance to catch the Beautiful Games exhibition at Museum of Childhood in which children can learn about the history of sport and throw some moves on the excellent electronic dance floor which had mine entertained for hours.
Geffrye Museum has a family day called Closing Ceremony - fun activities include performances, stories, craft workshops and games for families and young people inspired by the At Home with the World exhibition.Free.
Pup Aid comes to Primrose Hill - an event to fight puppy farming - there will be stalls, food and lots of dogs! Bring your family and your canine pal for a lovely day out. Free.
Muswell Hill Market is on today at The Village and includes a bead bar and other stalls and activities for families.
Klezmer In the Park is a free klezmer music festial in Regents Park there are loads of great bands and activities for children too. Free.
Gillespie Park Festival is a family festival in Islington in a nature reserve - there will be music, dancing, food and children's activities. 1-5pm. Free.
Brent Council hosts A Golden Summer Festival in Gladstone Park -
As the London Olympic and Paralympic festivities draw to an end, we will be saying farewell to this momentous summer by throwing a free party in the park. So, come along with your family and friends and get involved in creative workshops, sports activities and enjoy the fantastic live music and great food on offer. 12pm-7.30pm. Free.
In a great day for free festivities there is also a festival on Hampstead Heath today called Wellbeing Festival celebrating a special year for sport in this country - There will be fairground attractions, performance artists, circus skills, climbing wall, community stalls, plenty of music and many opportunities to take part in sports and sports coaching. 1-5.30pm in the Parliament Hill area. Free.
