Bonfire Night 2012 - firework displays in North London this weekend

Get those gloves and scarves on- it's bonfire night! Some of the big fireworks displays aren't happening this year due to budget constraints, but do not fear, there are still plenty of opportunities to see great displays and wave your sparklers - here's our pick of what's on....

Friday 2 November

The Totteridge Fireworks display takes place on Friday 2 November at the Totteridge Millhillians Cricket Club, Totteridge Green, Totteridge, N20 8P . The gates open at 5.00pm, the bonfire will be lit at around 6.30pm, while the fireworks display begins at 7.15pm. You can buy tickets from the Club House at the Cricket Ground between 5pm-7pm or during office hours for more info call 020 3519 2

Coram's Fields Fireworks display is taking place from 4.30pm onwards with homemade cakes, hot drinks and glowsticks available for sale. Display at 5.00pm.

Saturday 3 November

The Barnet District Scouts Annual Firework Display at Grange Scout Camp Site, Frith Lane, Finchley, NW7. Hot food, Hot drinks, Games, Sweets galore! Gates open 6pm Display 7.15pm Adults £5, Children aged 11 and under free.

The Southgate fireworks display returns for another year, bringing one of the best-loved displays to North London. A perennial favourite, the 2012 Southgate fireworks display at Walker Cricket Ground looks set to be just as popular and every bit as magnificent as last year's. The gates open at 5pm, with the fireworks display kicking off at 8pm. Tickets can be purchased in advance at a discounted rate at the office and bar area at £5.00 for adults and £3.00 for children.

Enfield Town Park. The annual Enfield Town Park Fireworks Display has a reputation as being the best in North London. Gates open at 6.00pm with the Firework Display commencing at 7.30pm. The park will have the usual funfair offering a wide variety of thrill seeking, adrenalin rushing rides for the brave (weather permitting) along with the more gentler rides and stalls for the younger members of the audience.

Ealing Cricket Club is hosting a fireworks display to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee year.Gates open 6pm, with fireworks at 7.30pm.  The display will be followed by the bonfire, as well as bars, BBQs, mulled wine, glows and rides for the youngsters. Admission charges £6 adult/ £4 Child under 14 (accompanied).

Cassiobury Park, Watford has a firework display starting at 6pm, with a children’s Fireworks display at 6:15pm. The bonfire will be lit at 7pm and the main Fireworks will commence at 7:30pm.

Verulamium Park in St Albans has a display with doors at 6pm and the display will start around 7.30pm.  Proceeds to local charities. 

Sunday 4 November

St. Martin's School, Northwood has fireworks at 5:30pm. BBQ, refreshments, a selection of pocket money glow toys and a spectacular professional 40 min display to music. Non attending Children & Parents welcome to attend. Tickets on the door.

Butterfly World Project in St Albans has a fireworks display, gates opening at 5pm, display at 6.30pm. 5-7pm. Fireworks at 6.30pm. Cost is £5.

Monday 5 November  

Roundwood Park, Harlesden Road, Harlesden NW10 has a fireworks display starting at 7pm. George Irvin Funfair will also be available that will feature a number of rides and thrills. Hot food and ice cream sale.

Fortismere School, East Finchley,  presents a Bonfire Night firework display, with fireworks designed by Kimbolton Fireworks, live entertainment including fire-eaters, rides and stalls provided by Carters Steam Fair, hot food and drinks. Under-11s must be accompanied by an adult.

Elstree and Borehamwood Council is hosting a firework display at 7pm at Meadow Park (free). The display promises to be a fantastic spectacle which will be choreographed to music.
