Tomorrow is World Book Day. We need no excuse to read books but we wanted to mark the day by sharing our top five children's books with you and by asking you to tell us your favourite. We'll pick the book we like the sound of the most to win a £20 book voucher.

As you know North London Mums do love a bit of vintage and we often feature vintage markets in our weekly listings. We thought we are well overdue for a proper round up of vintage events- so here's our list of hot vintage hangouts in and around North London.

So much on this weekend that we're going to be travelling all over London to try and cram as much in as possible. We hope you find things that you want to do too. Enjoy.
This weekend is the last weekend to see the amazing Imagine Children's festival which runs until Sunday. There are a host of fabulous activities planned, including the Imagine Children's Funfair and Imagine Craft Pavilion where children (5-12 years) can drop- in and get creative as different publishers introduce you to their favourite children's characters and stories. Wear clothes to get messy in!

For my first contribution to North London Mums, I thought I’d write a little piece on schools and property, two of most parent’s most talked about subjects, (well mine anyway) and in particular the unfathomable School Catchment areas.
