North London Mums is back from our break and our weekly round ups will be coming to your inboxes again from next week too. There are some great things on this weekend for families, although January is still pretty quiet for most places with things starting to gear back up next week. Let's hope the cold weather doesn't spoil our fun....
Our highlight of the weekend is the London Ice Sculpting Festival in Canary Wharf (pictured above) which has fantastic ice sculptures, a laser show and family arts and crafts going on all weekend.
Museum of London, Docklands has a family event called Optical Illusions - Come and see some spectacular illusions from the ancient past to the present day and learn some magic tricks of your own. For 5+, Free.
Take A cockroach tour of the Science Museum at 2pm or 4pm and find out what it’s like to be one of the planet’s true survivors. Having outlived the dinosaurs, what will they make of our obsessions with speed, time... and burning things? At 2pm and 4pm, book in advance. Full details here.
Royal Academy has a family day called Out of Space - Build your own stellar mobile and see it glow in our UV workshop. 11am-2pm, no booking required. Free.
If you are looking for some other ideas try our Indoor Places To Go section which has lots of ideas for indoor fun in this cold weather.
