Weekend Round Up - 6th and 7th July - Sunshine Fun!

As the sun is out at last, this is a great weekend to get outside. There's not much organised activity going on so we've given you a list of great splash pools in North London or you can check out our round up of the best parks or the best daytrips around North London for more inspiration. Have a great weekend.

All Weekend

Still on Southbank visit Beanotown at Southbank Centre and celebrate 75 years of the country's favourite comic. Beanotown is the home of Dennis the Menace and Gnasher, The Bash Street Kids, Minnie the Minx, Roger the Dodger, plus all the other comic strip superstars from The Beano. It’s a place where kids of all ages can enjoy laughs, jokes and pranks together and this summer it’s being brought to colourful life for the first time ever!  Beanotown is free and is located in the Festival Village, underneath the Queen Elizabeth Hall. It runs from 31 May- 8 September, and is open from 11am – 7pm.

If the weather stays warm, you might also want to head to the South Bank for the Appearing Rooms Fountain (shown above) which is back this year after a break. The interactive fountain is a massive hit with children, just remember to take towels and a change of clothes!

There are great splash pools in and around North London including Clissold Park in Stoke Newington, Parliament Hill in Kentish Town, Priory Park in Crouch End, Verulamium Park in St Albans, Cassiobury Park in Watford,  King George Park in Bushey and many more.
