Arts Depot is showing What The Ladybird Heard at 11am and 2pm - Join the woolly sheep, the hairy hog, the fat red hen and the dainty dog in Children's Laureate Julia Donaldson MBE and Lydia Monks' colourful farmyard adventure. Expect live music, puppetry, plenty of audience participation and lots of laughs!
Eddy Teddy is the Saturday morning kid's show at Lauderdale House this weekend - Find out what happens when Eddy the Teddy offers to organise a picnic for his best friend Sammy Ragdoll. Will the sun shine? Has he packed enough biscuits…and will the sandwiches be soggy?! 10am and 11.30am.
Whilst the Wellcome Collection undergoes renovation it is taking its Curiosity Show on Tour in a converted routemaster. It is at Camden Lock this weekend - you can take part in unique object handling sessions, delve through the image archives, watch retro films and pick up Wellcome Collection souvenirs at our pop-up shop
JW3 the new community centre on Finchley Road is turning into a mini-farm for its family day this Sunday. Come pet the goats, bottle-feed the lambs and get acquainted with the chickens and rabbits and plenty more of activities on offer between 12pm and 4pm. £10 for adults, £5 for children but cheper for members and concessions.
The London Orchard Festival is happening at Camley Street Nature Reserve in Kings Cross - Come along to pick up fruitful tips on how to grow the perfect apples and take away a tree to plant. There will also be an exhibition of fruit that has been harvested throughout the capital by volunteers, a juice bar with a home-made pedal-powered fruit crusher, a cider making and tasting stall run by the Campaign For Real Ale, games and activities for children, apple-themed food and drink and live acoustic music. London Wildlife Trust has a mini-beast walk 2-3pm in Stoke Newington - Come and find out abotu the fascinating insects that live along the New River and around Stoke Newington East Reservoir Community Garden. Full details here.
It's Heritage Day and Conker Championship at Parliament Hill - There are heritage events taking place from 11am, which include weaving, welly-wanging, felt-making and bee-keeping stalls, then the nut-banging competition starts at 3pm in the afternoon.
