Weekend Round Up - 5th and 6th July

To coincide with the Tour de France there is a free cycling festival all weekend in Green Park - FREE ADMISSION includes live tour footage, live entertainment, outdoor cinema, foodies festival, family activities, access to official merchandise, entry to the Tour de France museum, entry to win prizes and more!

There is a fair all weekend at Priory Park in Crouch End and also at the East Barnet Festival in Oakhill Park. 


Saturday


If your children are fans of Maisy the mouse, head to Foyles this Saturday morning for their grand opening where she will be making an appearance att 11.30. FREE and no need to book. 

The Royal Academy has a free family day today 10.30-4pm - there is science related fun all day including session 'Be a paleantologist', and 'Slimy Seas' and much more. Full details here

Folk fans head to The Tate today for Make it: Folk Art Families - Join musicians, storytellers and ceilidh callers for free, fun activities throughout the galleries exploring British Folk Art. 11-4pm, FREE.

For older children (10+) author Jane Hardstaff is at Pickled Pepper Books, Crouch End to talk about her book The Executioner's Daughter. 11am. The bookshops is also celebrating its birthday all weekend with cupcakes so do pop in and browse their fantastic selection of books.

The Design Museum is celebrating its 25th birthday this weekend with a free fun day - There will be a free Memory Lane workshop exploring the museum's unwritten history - party guests are encouraged to bring along any Design Museum mementoes or photographs of Shad Thames. Delicious BBQ food provided by Mother Flipper burgers who will be setting up by the river in the afternoon and drinks and cake available from the Museum's cafe.


Sunday

There is a free summer festival on Regent Street today and it is closed off to all traffic. Regent Street will be transformed into a real life garden party with a specially created garden. There will be a wide range of family activities held throughout the day including an exciting bee and butterfly exhibition, live music and face painting. Full details here.

The Hampstead Summer Festival is also today with loads of family attractions including a carousel, street performers, donkey rides, face painting and much more.
