Shakespeare’s classic The Tempest is brought to life for younger audiences in a 75-minute show. This reimagination of the tale, suitable for those aged six and over, features a sorcerer Prospero who conjures up a storm to shipwreck his enemies. The show is full of captivating spells, monsters, revenge and romance.
For this Christmas, Julian Clary’s adaptation of his bestselling book The Bolds is back after receiving rave reviews when it was first presented in 2021. The Bolds appear to be like everyone else – they live in an ordinary house on an ordinary street, and they like to laugh. But they have one distinct difference – they are hyenas! Follow the adventures of Mr. and Mrs. Bold and their twins Betty and Bobby as they try to keep their animalistic secret while going about their daily lives. This show, with live music and songs by Julian Clary and Simon Wallace, will have you laughing hysterically. The Bolds series has sold over half a million copies worldwide and is a Sunday Times best-seller.
How about The Three Billy Goats Gruff? This joyful hit musical by Stiles and Drewe, is back at the Unicorn for a short run after its successful run last Easter. Join Baby, Middle and Big, three goats desperately looking for something to eat, as they go on an adventure with Little Bo-Frilly and attempt to outsmart the tricky troll to get to the delicious, green grass on the other side of the valley. Directed by Justin Audibert and composed by the Olivier award-winning Stiles and Drewe, this show is the perfect first musical for young families. This is a Unicorn Production in association with Chichester Festival Theatre, performed in agreement with Music Theatre International. mtishows.co.uk
